At Mona Dental for Kids, we treat children and children only. Due to the nature of pediatric dentistry, we develop close relationships with our pediatric patients, as well as their parents and caregivers. It is vitally important that caregivers understand the importance of routine visits, good hygiene techniques at home, and proper nutrition to protect children’s teeth.
Dr. Mona Houshiar and our Spring, Texas team appreciate all of the factors that can stand in the way of professional dental care, including financial constraints.
Crowns preserve teeth. They strengthen teeth that have sustained trauma or injury from erosion, dental decay, or accidents (such as falls or blows to the face while playing sports). It is crucial for Dr. Houshiar and our team to keep children’s developing teeth intact. After a tooth has matured, the pulp tissue inside is not essential for nourishment. The pulp contains blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. It supports the health and “normal” development of the tooth. So, we want to keep all parts of the tooth, its insides and outsides, as strong as possible during the critical developmental stage.
If your child is due for a dental visit, contact us without delay. Often, oral problems are asymptomatic early on. Only after they have progressed and caused damage will heightened sensitivity and other changes in our teeth and oral tissues become noticeable. At this point, extensive restorative dentistry may be the only way to get your child’s mouth healthy and functional again.
Restorative care is generally more costly, requires more time, and is more aggressive and traumatic than interventions necessary to resolve earlier-stage decay and other developing problems.
Mona Dental for Kids is happy to discuss affordable payment options with you regardless of the type of care needed to restore your child’s smile. We offer payment plans and financing and accept most major credit cards. We also take most insurance plans. These plans largely cover at least a portion of your child’s care as a “medically necessary” service.
